AFFORDABLE HOUSING GRANT

Hometown Energy Savers® offers a grant for nonprofit organizations to make improvements to single family homes that they rent or are rehabilitating to sell to residents with limited incomes.

For these organizations that provide affordable housing, grants of up to $3,000 are available to fund improvements that reduce electric operating costs in their single-family properties. Making these energy-saving improvements will allow residents to save on their utility bills, moth after month.

Examples of energy efficient improvements that may qualify for a grant include lighting, air conditioning, controls, and certain appliances.
